Sales data relating to ambient chocolate cake and children’s cake bars were extracted from the IRI database, and ranked by volume. For products in the top 97% of volume sales, sugar contents per 100g were obtained from manufacturer and retailer websites and recorded in November 2017. At 22% sugar, Coco Pops Choco Bakes are at least 40% lower in sugar than the average sugar content of ambient chocolate cake bars, which was 41g.
